Non-scientific career at Fraunhofer IOSB

Develop your own talent - make top-level research possible

Research, doctoral studies, publishing - none of this would be possible without internal service units that support the scientific departments, provide solutions for scientific operations and keep our institute functioning. Therefore, technical and administrative professions can be found at Fraunhofer IOSB, e.g. in controlling, administration, IT, facility management and workshop. The assistants of the scientific departments and business units, Strategy and Innovation Management as well as Press and Communication are also among the scientific supporting areas.

Employees in these areas also benefit from individual, continuous training opportunities as part of the internal personnel development concept, the comprehensive training program of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and other options resulting from Fraunhofer-wide networking in Germany and abroad.

Competence and a lot of fun: That's what our employees say

During my apprenticeship I was able to look into different areas of work and later on I was able to get involved in the field that suits me best. The great thing about my job: you can feel that our work is valued and you can contribute your own ideas. I simply enjoy my job very much, and because I was always encouraged and had the chance to get involved, I was able to receive a training award from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft at the end of my training.

Developing something from an idea, working it out and then producing it makes working every day something special. The training opportunities at the Fraunhofer IOSB allow me to constantly improve myself and my work.

At Fraunhofer IOSB, no day is like the other. We work in a constantly changing work environment. Trying out new technologies and developing helpful services for our scientists is not only a challenging task, but also a lot of fun.

I especially appreciate the many nice colleagues and the opportunity to combine work and family life as a manager. A special benefit: In the large IT community, you can regularly exchange ideas and work together on projects.
