Situational awareness and command and control

We enable commanders to make informed decisions and achieve the desired effects based on improved situational awareness. To this end, we research methods that extract decision-relevant information from heterogeneous sources, merge it, and condense it into situation pictures, thereby also revealing hidden aspects and connections.

Through our work in the areas of interoperability, architectures, and standardization, we ensure smooth interaction between all levels, from individual sensors to the creation of consistent situation pictures.

  • We develop systems for software-supported message creation and research innovative, AI-supported approaches for capturing and analyzing textual information.
  • We offer new possibilities for distributed, interactive situation visualization and situation processing. In doing so, we also enable collaboration and interaction in virtual and augmented realities.
  • Through our work on intelligent mission planning and continuous adaptation, we also contribute to the acceleration of the command and control process, which is indispensable in the digital battlefield.

Our competencies and solutions enable armed forces to conduct faster, more precise, and better-informed operations, including in the context of multidomain operations (MDO).

Digital Map Table

The Digital Map Table is a software system for distributed situation visualization and situation processing. Any number of users can work independently on PCs and tablets or together on large displays in the same situation.
