Board of directors

Prof. Beyerer serves as managing director of Fraunhofer IOSB. As chairman of the Fraunhofer Segment for Defense and Security VVS he is a member of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft's presidential council.

On the board of directors of Fraunhofer IOSB, he represents the Karlsruhe site in particular. In addition, Prof. Beyerer holds the Chair of the Vision and Fusion Laboratory at the Institute for Anthropomatics at the Faculty for Computer Science of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Since August 2026, Prof. Eichhorn has co-led the Fraunhofer IOSB together with Prof. Beyerer. On the board of directors, he is responsible for the Ettlingen site and the institute’s defense division.

In addition, Prof. Eichhorn holds the Chair of Optronics at the Institute for Control and Control Systems (IRS) within the School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
