From apprentice to trainee - two success stories

Here is always movement. After a professional reorientation I did an internship in IT at Fraunhofer IOSB. Since this was a good fit, I was given the opportunity to retrain as an IT specialist at the Network Operation Center.

Now I train apprentices myself and I am happy that I can pass on the chance I got back then.

Already during my apprenticeship I felt very comfortable here. Now I am a trainee myself and study part-time. It's great that this flexibility is possible at Fraunhofer IOSB, and that my further development is even partly taken over by Fraunhofer. With us you can quickly take on responsibility if you want to. A look beyond the horizon is included.

The practice-integrating dual course of studies "Computer Science" combines theory at the university with practice in our institutes. There you can put what you have learned directly into practice and become part of our Fraunhofer team.

What makes computer science so attractive is the meeting of computer science and application knowledge. Students who choose this course learn to develop professional solutions that go beyond the boundaries of computer hardware and software.

At Fraunhofer IOSB we develop software for the operation of industrial production processes, protect the IT-security of critical infrastructures and work on the entire development chain of computer-aided machine vision.
