Frequency-labeled offset recording (FLOR) unit

Short description of the project

On this site, we provide information to a unit for measuring steering wheel angles and pedal positions in vehicles, where internal sensors cannot be installed or accessed via CAN or FlexRay bus.The method1 is called Frequency-Labeled Offset Redording (FLOR).

All necessary files to reproduce the unit (by 3D printing and circuit board production) will be available for download on this site.

Caution:

The software is provided here without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the functionality, fitness for a purpose, or the accuracy of descriptions. In no event shall Fraunhofer IOSB nor the authors or contributors be liable for any damages arising out of this software. In particular, we provide no guarantee that the unit will meet your requirements, and any installation in a vehicle must be performed at your own risk. We expressly advise against using FLOR units outside of closed test tracks, and in critical maneuvers or at high speeds.

Due to pending questions about export regulations by the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA), we cannot provide open source software yet. We expect a solution by the end of 2016. The electronic board layout was published at ICA 2016 and therefore can be made available. We will provide the rest of the data (3D models, apps) as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact Miriam Ruf.
