On Thursday, February 1, 2024, the exhibition opening "Liberation" by the painter Carmen Monika Schlund and the sculptor Sabrina Ferwagner will take place at Fraunhofer IOSB in Karlsruhe at 5:30 pm. You are cordially invited!

The two artists from the Rhine-Neckar region show the diversity of their artistic work and address the theme of liberation. Liberation from inner and outer constraints towards fullness and development, a liberated authentic self. By breaking through predefined boundaries and restrictive concepts and techniques, full creativity is revealed on the canvas.

The artist duo is already a well-established team, as they work together on many different art projects in addition to their own art. Carmen Monika Schlund's modern, lively and impulsive acrylic paintings are juxtaposed with Sabrina Ferwagner's sculptures, but their works also form a symbiosis. Carmen Monika Schlund presents large-format acrylic paintings with intense color compositions with glow art and mixed-media elements, in which the abstract, often colorful torsos are almost integrated. On the other hand, the wooden sculptures, in which a wide range of human emotions are depicted, contrast with the colorful and life-affirming paintings.
