Automatic Exploitation of Aerial and Satellite Image Data

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with video sensors are widely used for exploration and surveillance tasks. Therefore, the IOSB developed a generic integration platform for the integration of automatic video exploitation methods.

Basically, these methods were developed to relieve the human observer in front of the screens, which is e.g. reached be image stabilization. Furthermore, new information can be generated from the video sequences, e.g.

  • Image mosaics
  • Georeferenced mosaics and satellite images
  • image stabilization
  • 3D-data and depth maps
